4parts/design is a multi-faceted branding and design company. We provide solutions and inspire brands.
Hayley Partridge - Partner, Lead Designer
After moving from England in 1998, her love affair with graphic design began in a Photoshop class in a New Jersey high school. Hooked, she graduated from college with a BA in Visual Communications and a focus on graphic design, with experience ranging throughout all aspects of Graphic Design, web design, marketing and branding, digital signage and animation.
She relocated to the West Coast, in her words ‘One of the most inspiring, funky, crazy, artsy cities in the States – San Francisco,’ where she began in the wine industry at Crushpad. Four years and more than 2,000 labels later it was time to spread her wings and with 4parts design expand to the rest of North American wine industry.
What makes her tick? As Hayley puts it, ‘There is nothing I love more then finding inspiration on every block. I'm lucky enough to be in a city where I'm surrounded by artistic experiences, whether it’s a restaurant menu or bar bathroom graffiti.'
Jen Hayes - Partner, Project Manager
Jen was finishing her BA in Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison when the urge to flee the fly-overs hit hard. Armed with her degree, a week’s hotel reservation and all her worldly possessions following behind in a U-Haul, Jen quickly settled in to the Bay Area and fell in love with the wine industry upon finding a job with Crushpad. She spent the next several years here and at other small companies gaining experience in business and accounting, as well as performing with and helping manage Bell Appeal, a San Francisco handbell ensemble.
At 4parts design Jen serves the vital roles of Project Manager and Bookkeeper, and the less vital role of office know-it-all.
David Hanson-Jerrard - Managing Partner
David brings 25 years of wine industry experience, both on the winery- and supply-side of the business. He has worked for major wineries such as E&J Gallo and Trinchero Family Estates (Sutter Home). Prior to founding 4parts design, he served as President and General Manager of Lafitte Cork & Capsule, serving a client base of 800 wineries throughout North America.
Travis Pollard - Partner
Travis is a 5th generation Californian with many years of printing experience, the last 17 years in the wine industry. His past experience includes being a graphic designer, prepress/graphics manager, consultant, high school teacher, and for the past 8 years the digital business manager at Tapp Label Technologies. He has played a key role in mainstreaming HP Indigo digital printing in the wine industry and thrives on fine wine label printing. Having made wine himself, he understands the hard work, time, passion, and craftsmanship that it takes to make great wine, and believes the wine label should reflect the same values.
Thomas Bougetz - Partner
Thomas has over 25 years of experience in various winery and high-tech engineering positions. As an executive managing complex engineering projects for the likes of The Boeing Company, the Space Shuttle program, and various startups, Thomas applied his structured engineering background to the wine industry for the past 5 years by managing the production, bottling and commercial interests of over 400 individual bottlings a year. Thomas is a graduate of the Northwest Wine Academy in Seattle, WA, and has his own wine brand.
